Amanda June Hagarty was born and raised in the Vancouver, BC area in Canada. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelors in Psychology, then spent several years working in various jobs in the gardening industry and as a Veterinary Technician. Finally she retired when she became a virtual land baroness in the world of Second Life. In addition, she has made career out of Internet Marketing in a variety of forms, and helping others learn how to market on the web has become a passion of hers. Now that she has more free time on her hands she has returned to her first love, writing. She is working on several Sci-fi/Fantasy novels, occasionally writes poetry and short stories. She currently lives in NW Washington with her 2 cats, 1 bunny, and love of her life/business partner James.
James Hagarty was born in Dublin, Ireland to his Puerto Rican mother and American father, while his father was there studying at Trinity College. As a baby he sailed by ship back to the US where his family settled in Dover, DE. He graduated from Duke and remains a loyal Blue Devil’s basketball fan. He has lived in the extreme heat of Texas and the deep cold of Upstate New York, during which he worked mostly in sales and dreamt of being an entrepreneur. In 2007 he quit his last job to pursue that dream, and found success in the Second Life land market. He also became heavily involved in Internet Marketing and explored ideas about real estate investing. More recently he and Amanda have expanded into the seasonal retail business. With several years of experience operating a land business in Second Life behind him, he has begun to write a book giving away all his secrets, which is what occupies most of his time these days. He currently lives in NW Washington with his 2 cats, 1 bunny, and love of his life/business partner Amanda.
As a team Amanda and James are perfectly matched. Both are entrepreneurial minded. James is the business minded, number crunching type and Amanda is the brainstorming, idea generating type. This combination has scored successes for them on numerous occasions.
